The hotel's exclusive restaurant, Element 47, which offers an extensive wine program and New American cuisine based on locally sourced ingredients, received a Forbes Five-Star designation in 2015.
Over the years, The Little Nell has changed its practices and installed equipment to conserve the environment. The lighting is fully energy efficient, the hotel has several solar panels and most of the food is sourced from local producers. The property initiated an innovative program called the Eco-Luxe Program that engages its guests in the effort with actions such as offering them reusable water pitchers. Little Nell also funds the Foundation for the Environment that supports projects aimed at reducing the impacts of climate change.
